PPI claim success story

After watching Martin on GMTV one morning he mentioned about companies charging Payment Protection Insurance on loans, when you may not have signed up for it.
I've never tried to claim anything back and to be perfectly honest have been terrible with money in the past getting myself in to a lot of debt which is now pretty much gone...thank god!
I had a high interest secured loan with Welcome Finance and payed this off when I sold a property, I dug out the old paperwork and my initial paperwork stated that I hadnt signed up for PPI, so happy with this as I've never been out of work etc etc, but as I looked at some of my final paperwork I noticed there was a figure next to PPI, so I wrote a letter to them with a photocopy of the 2 sets of paperwork, 3 months later they sent me a cheque for £702 with an apology and that they had started to take out insurance when I hadnt originally signed up for it.:j
So its worth digging out your old paperwork and checking just in case!! Thanks Martin for the tip off!!!

Well done, Nationwide are not paying up so i have had to complain to the ombudsman! No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

My fingers and toes are crossed for you, my next challenge is credit card and bank charges, I may not be so lucky this time.
I was a little dubious about Welcome Finance paying up as they are known as one of the difficult ones to deal with, but like I said...lucky.
I hope you get somewhere with the claim

Thanks hope it works out for you with the credit and bank charges, most of them are being right pains. Although Alliance and Leicester and Barclays paid up straight away with me.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
