There was a useful trick you could do a while ago, don't know if it still works. If you go to Woolworths, Tesco, some other electrical retailers then they sell "welcome packs" for people to connect to sky. It basically includes the details of how to connect and a remote! I can't remember how much they were but they were much less than £15.0

I think about £15 is the going rate. Special offer here: http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=47024&doy=27m11

How about contacting sky and asking them to provide you with one, as you cant watch their service if they dont give you a remote!, we tried this in the summer with our digibox as it was slow and kept freezing, they wanted to charge us for a new one but my argument is, we are paying for a service and if we cannot watch it to a suitable standard then they can have it back, so to speak, they eventually agreed and gave us a new box for nothing, although we did not get a new remote!!!! (mind you i say they gave it for nothing nearly £40 a month to watch repeats isn't nothing!), if you do call them remember to call using the saynoto0870 numbers.0

Just for one moment, thought I'd found my way.0

Occasionally the local Poundland gets in a cheap knock-off for £1 so it might be worth checking these places first.0

I've just bought a universal (8 in 1) remote from Lidl - on sale from today at £4.99. Took about 10 mins to setup. Controls my TV (Sony), DVD (Targa from Lidl) and Sky box (Pace) fine. Haven't checked all of the functions yet, but the main ones certainly work.People are more important than things0
