Pearl endowment maturity

  • I really appreciate the time and trouble you take on this site to inform us all. Am very ignorant about the tax situation on repayment of an endowment, so any information gratefully received.

    The endowment maturity has no further liability for tax. interest added is paid net. non taxpayers can claim it back. Higher rate have to pay a bit more. Its just like when you get your tax certificate from your bank on your savings account and it tells you the amount of interest, tax paid and net amount. If you dont get one from Pearl, they havent added any interest.

    Finally. At least Pearl are closed for new business so no-one else will be using them again apart from legacy business
