Print my own A6 glossy postcards at home.

Hi Guys and Gals,

I've been searching for quite a while but I have yet to find a store (online or high street) that sells A6 sized glossy postcards so that I can print my digital camera photos on one size and the other size is pre-printed with the usual lines for writing addresses on.

Does anyone know where I could find such a thing?

Several digital photo shops offer me the service to upload my photos and print them onto postcards but they are fairly steep (e.g. £8 for 16 of the same).
I'd just like to print my own as and when.

Many Thanks,

Abigail

    Welcome to MSE.

I invested in a cheap guillotine and buy Tesco glossy A4 for next to nothing and cut it down to size. It looks perfect.

You want something like the Canon Selphy CP200 printer.
It's a dye sublimation printer so it has a protective coating. A lot of the photo printers are inkjet based and they aren't waterproof.

The paper packs come with a postcard back too.

I got mine from Pixmania because they were doing a special deal on the consumables too. I think I paid about £80 for the printer.

The prints work out to be about 20p each.

This one is mains only and seems to be discontinued but they have a whole range.

    Here's a review for mine:

If you pm me I could send you a postcard so you check the quality.
    :)
  • Super Thanks for the ideas. I am going to investigate both of them.
    Thanks again.
