well you will defintely need a 10% deposit
What is your income?
Do you have any other debts in the background?
Are you a first time buyer?
The CCJ does not help - however the fact it is for such a small amount will make it easier for a broker to get it agreed with high street lenders.
I would suggest looking for a whole of market adviser to help you with this, and not get fobbed off by someone telling you up front that you need specialist adverse credit brokers or lenders
A good broker will discuss your case at the outset with lenders, to make sure that they will be happy with the scnenario, before making the applicationI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. yes first time buyer!
im in the army so i would like a mortgage as the 2 kids hopefully 3 asap (then thats it!!) i would love to provide them a stable living arrangement apposed to moving every 3 years!you cant change yesterdaybut you can make tomorrow better0 -
This does look straight forward then, as the affordability appears to be there.
Again I would look to use a broker, fee free if you want, in order to get you the best deal, but also to make sure that you do not go applying to the lenders that will decline your mortgage application due to the CCJ.
This is where a broker's knowledge comes to the fore, in seeing if you can avoid the higher interest rates for adverse credit and looking to place you with a high street lender with decent rates!I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. cool i will go down the brokers path do you think it would be best to deal with them face to face or do it on the internet?
im saying face to face but i work strange hours! will have to book a day off work i think thanks herbiejpyou cant change yesterdaybut you can make tomorrow better0 -
You dont have to go face to face if it doesn't suit your lifestyle/needs
Plenty brokers work over the phone/internet - in fact the majority of my work is done that way now - answering emails at the strangest of times!
