Really? Oh my apologies then. I must have posted on the wrong board. The board I menat to post on was always full of self-righteous t--ts stating how wonderful their life will be once the property crashes 50% during one year and how they will buy all these cheap properties at half price etc etc etc. And I also remember myself stating you can't have a crash of that amplitude without far reaching repercussions for the whole UK economy, how will you pay your mortgage if you can't find a job you short-sighted moron? Of course, the general consensus in the replies was that I am a BTL-er, got several properties, I am a property bull, etc etc etc. So I go back to my previous post and state again: You wanted a property crash - now you have it.
For the sake of this forum please take your abusive comments elsewhere.0 -

This isn't my area of expertise, but I don't think the angels warned her of the terrible consequences of looking back.
Also I've just learned what later happened with Lot and his daughters, thinking it was their duty to ensure the continuation of the human race. Those angels could have warned them it wasn't to be end of all humanity.
I wonder why salt was chosen. A pillar of salt.
As I understand it, salt has often been a highly expensive luxury in antiquity (?).
I've seen those elephants risk life and limb making their way up to the caves to lick the salt from the walls to get the intake they require.- Salt was included among funereal offerings found in ancient Egyptian tombs from the third millennium BC, as were salted birds and salt fish. From about 2800 BC, the Egyptians began exporting salt fish to the Phoenicians in return for Lebanon Cedar, glass, and the dye Tyrian purple; the Phoenicians traded Egyptian salt fish and salt from North Africa throughout their Mediterranean trade empire.
- During the first millennium BC, Celtic communities grew rich trading salt and salted meat to Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome in exchange for wine and other luxuries.
- At times, troops in the Roman army were paid in salt and this is the origin of the words salary and, by way of French, soldier.

Good grief, can you not just stick to the facts and debate the subject without hurling personal insults?
This fine example of a post just confirms my belief that most of the 'bulls' here are just looking for an excuse to rant and rave against other people.
You wouldn't address people like this in real life so what makes you think that it's appropriate to do it on this forum?
sigh  How many times does this have to be repeatedSo I go back to my previous post and state again: You wanted a property crash - now you have it.
Warning about an imminent property and economic crash does not equal wanting all of the misery of such a crash to happen!!!!!
As for house prices falling, well that is one positive thing to take away from all of this misery resulting from the mad property boom. Any sane person would welcome lower prices after the madness of the last few years.--
Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.0 -
Totally right !!!!!!? Yes warning of a housing price crash was a pretty sensible thing. Goodness me, I and a whole bunch of folk could see the wheels coming off years ago. To me the whole ponzi of house prices is just an element of ``selfish`` capitalism. Where has it got us? Me average bloke on the street, lol , nowhere. Now what is a very real worry is this whole pratish housing carp could bring down the wider economy. That`s why I am getting more and more angry with what is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

Anyone else find it more than a little bit hypocritical that the likes of Mircea get away with bile-filled personal attacks of the sort posted yet the whole thread about the train thing got pulled despite the fact that it had 'sorted itself out'?--

Not that type of salt, in that area. The Dead Sea has huge pillars and crusts of salt everywhere you look....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Of course, that makes sense now. Thanks.
Wikipedia (Salt / sea-salt):However, completely raw sea salt is bitter due to magnesium and calcium compounds, and thus is rarely eaten. The refined salt industry cites scientific studies saying that raw sea and rock salts do not contain enough iodine salts to prevent iodine deficiency diseases.0 -
The Dead Sea is an amazing place - unique. I've been several times, and it's a wonder every visit.
Unlike, say, Tel Aviv, Jersualem is high above sea level, and therefore cooler than the plains all year round. I think the Old City is about 2,500 feet above sea level.
The Dead Sea is only about a 30 mile drive, and is, at the lowest, 1,378 ft below sea level. So in only 30 miles you descend not far off 4,000 feet. And the scenery on the way is utterly spectacular....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

I was thinking of you in watching FKN news today - in the final section.
That YouTube show is always so fast paced, sharp, witty, and so full-on, with great backdrops for all the economic news.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkQ6IqVdcJ0In the UK shopping continues to be popular amongst brain dead ignorant morons.
Buying things props up the whole fake economy.
Riots, chaos, the collapse of the banking system.
Don't let it happen. Shop for your lives, spend for victory and die in debt.0
