Any recommendations for builders? (Letchworth area)

We are planning to do loft conversion.

Can anyone recommend a builder they used recently, or someone whom you know does good work? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe not so local (as they are in St Albans) so this might not be of any help to you (!) but you could try Experterra Ltd. I was really impressed with the service they provided. Professional, friendly, and on time! (They re-fitted all my windows and painted my house) however I am to believe they provide a wide range of services. They were recommended to me by a friend (the best way to find a good builder).

Hi, I am planning to do a loft conversion too. I would suggest going onto the Federation Of Master Builders Site and searching for a someone who is local authority approved and can offer a MasterBond Warranty.
Please let me know if you have chosen your company as I may be interested.

I got a couple of estimates recently from such companies it comes up to around 40000 for two rooms and a bathroom with two dormers and 4 velux windows.

Are your estimates similar ?
