Ok - the price you see on the Asda site is just the quote - it will be the same price if you go to Asda direct or through Quidco.

The cashback of £65 is what Asda pays Quidco as an affilated Merchant - it just so happens that for the cover I wanted the cashback was more than the quote.

It's sorted now. I accepted asdas quote, ½ an hour later it showed up in my quidco account as £68 pending.

    Thanks.

  • Hi there,

Does anyone know if you can pay the CONTENTS insurance in montly installments and still get quidco to track with Asda?

asda is only for those who own their house and not those who rent! co-op appears to be only 25 quid cashback via quidco. more than offers 85.

I rent and there was an option to choose rented when obtaining the quote (despite what the quidco page says). They gave me a very good contents only quote yesterday. Not tracked through Quidco yet though. If it doesn't track within a few days I still have the right to cancel.

  • hmmmm my home needs insurance renewing too - will have to look into it after lunch.

Though it does even say on quidcos page

"£68 for Home Insurance (Asda do not offer home insurance for rented properties)"

Mind.....does a council house class as a rented property under their eyes I wonder

Yep, I'm doing the same as The Dude. I'm paying £4.38 per month and awaiting my £68 cashback.

I noticed I could do a similar (but not quite as good) deal with Norwich Union.

Is 'home insurance' both contents and buildings insurance combined? or could i just take out contents insurance and still get the quidco??

edit: ignore that just seen the op states he has had quidco validated for contents only...

i wonder if they would pay out twice if i did the contents and then went via quidco again for the buildings insurance....

Almost certainly, there is no limit to the no. of times you can click through a merchant, so long as you buy insurance you will get 2 x £68 cashbacks, so makes sense (in this situation ) to have separate cover.

All you need to do is clear the cookies after its tracked number 1 then go again with number 2.
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

    hi

Could I be so bold as to start an insurance policy via quidco reap the cashback, pay the policy in monthly instalments, stop/cancel it and then start the process again?

    Is that allowed?
