OK take 2 seens as my computer seems to be dying...
i have just received a nasty letter from Lowells saying that i owe 3 £50.27.
i am assuming that this was from my last bill 3 or 4 years ago... i was young, and honestly though it was settled. i contested the price of my last bill as it was for nearly £300. (well over the usual £35 price plan), and i didn't always stick to the money prescribed, but also never went over it by more than about £5 occasionally...
i called and the guy on the other end in rather bad english told me that if i didn't pay then bad things woud happen, but that as he could see my last payments etc he could adjust the amount by £100, so i said yes in my stupidity, and paid. (makes the strange ifgure thay have come up with stranger...)
these people are now threatening to send round baliffs, and i really don't know what to do...
can i requset a copy of the CCA? or is there any other paper work that i can get hold of, which would prove that i was paying what i honsetly thought was a full and final payment?
EDITED TO SAY: haha to me i was actually thinking earlier this week i was debt free!!!!
