120% mortgages good idea says Chris Bryant (Labour) on "Any questions"

At about 15 minutes in Chris Bryant explains that 120% mortgages were a good idea. This causes boos from the audience.
Also contains a great expression of discontent with Gordon Brown at about 30 minutes in.
Followed by trashing of the ID cards at about 40 minutes. Surprisingly, Chris Bryant thinks that they're a great idea and they magically solved the Spanish train bombing case. Everyone else hates them and it's clear that the audience do too.
Not on the Iplayer yet.

Chris Bryant is clearly an idiot. ID cards are great if you want to create a totalitarian regime. Hopeless if you want to do anything else with them. If you want to see how tough ID cards are to get around, go to the markets around the rougher North African bits of Northern Paris and see how many French ID cards are openly on sale.

The other three roused cheers from the rabble* in their demolition of the concept, including the author woman saying that she'd rather go to prison than have an ID card.
*Those moronic people who go to work and pay taxes. You know, the idiots who need to be told what to do and what to think and should just be grateful to have such a wonderful government.

If you are going to post a picture of yourself in your pants, for God's sake, please don't choose the slightly greying, elastic-going-a-bit M & S Y fronts. Please.:wall:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0
