BR Taxcode

in Cutting tax
Hi all,
I noticed today that the tax code on my payslip is BR. Upon querying this with payroll, I was told that they were informed by HMRC to use that code since June 2005:eek:
Does this mean I have now lost my allowance for the last 3 years
I have been earning between 33,000 and 40,000 throughout this time.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

check your previous years P60 or payslips

AS clapton says, yes indeed you can claim that far back and lets us know when you get your refund. Could only dream of a nice payday like that.
BR all those years. No personal allowance given... a couple of grand easy coming your way.... that is supposing you've only had the one job. Been on BR all this time and haven't had any benefits etc..0
