Tasteful slippers?

Options
My house is freezing! I am after some tasteful slippers.

I would prefer slip on with covered toe. I am looking for a brown/beige colour that have a classical feel to it.

I detest anything remotely housewifey (I am one all day and look to dream away that I can be slightly trendy!)

I got some nice ones from Next a couple of months ago. They're cream suede with a little diamonte and bow. Very tasteful :D

Debenhams sell Terrasoles. They do a range of colours and styles in-store and last time I looked they were on special: two pairs for £12 or something like that. Here's a sample of a wider range, available on Ebay from the US. Haven't seen that lovely pink in Debenhams ...

Anyway, it's hard to see from the piccy, but they are soft and comfy, but with a hardwearing sole so if you need to pop out to put stuff in the dustbin, you don't have to put your shoes on. And if anyone comes to the door, they don't scream 'slippers'. Best of all they are machine washable (and I have washed mine!)

Although they're not the warmest slippers I've ever had: those were false fur booties which did scream 'slippers'!

Are you sure theyre for your feet?

I use those totes toasty socks. They are more comfy than slippers and thermal so they keep your feet really warm.
