Lauke Bread Mix

Options
I've just been told that Lakeland aren't stocking Lauke bread mix any more.
Can anyone tell me where I can buy it in the UK? (I'd prefer N W England)

OR can anyone recommend a good brown or granary breadmix for a machine?

Thank you!

  • You could try contacting the firm directly?

  • Hovis granary bread mix might be worth a try. It's only 27p in Tesco at the moment. We had some with tea tonight and it was yummy.

  • Hi, I have contacted Laucke by email and they are very sorry but Lakeland have decided to discontinue their products. This is due to costs and product rotation. Lakeland have said that they might start stocking the product again in December, but so far there has been no firm decision. Laucke have suggested that customer pressure might help them --- so contact Lakeland and have a good moan about it:j I am !!!!
Lakeland was the only retailer of Laucke products
  • have lakeland none in stock in their other shops or warehouse that they can get delivered to your nearest shop?

Reiki girl Thank you for the info. I tried to get in touch with Lauke by email as suggested by Js other half but had no reply - Well done you!

I'm now going to have another go at Lakeland by phone & email - surely we can't be the only ones who want this product!

Thank you all for replying. M

Sorry, know nothing about the Lauke bread, but the question was about brown as well and I love rye bread mix from Lidl! It is not always easy to get a decent rye bread from a breadmaker..
  • Thanks Snow for the info' about rye bread at Lidl, I will try that as we love Laucke Soy and Linseed and wholegrain, perhaps it is similar?
I have heard from Lakeland about Laucke bread mixes and they say that due to difficulties getting stock and a price increase they would no longer be stocking it!
They do stock Carr's Strong white and wholemeal at £7.50 for a pack of 10 (not mixed). I haven't tried it, has anyone?
It would appear that we are going to be ''Laucke-less'':rotfl: in the UK unless another supermarket picks it up.
  • I tried Lauke bread mix for the first time at the weekend - it's good! I need to eat wheat free bread so I just Emailed Lakeland to suggest they keep stocking it - it can't do any harm I suppose. Pity I found a nice bread source just as it disappears.
