Do you think that I could get my benefits paid early if I am in a desperate position?

Hello everyone, I couldn't find anywhere more appropriate to place this post so I thought I'd start here.
My son is in receipt of Disability allowance and I am in receipt of carers allowance; do you think it's even worth the call to see if I could get my benefits paid early (i.e. next month's now!) is we are in a bit of a desperate situation?
Would be grateful for any advice. Thanks

I doubt it very much. What would you do next month when you received no benefits, ask for Novembers in advance?

No, that wasn't the idea. I have a specific reason for needing the money now—hence my query.0

I don't think it is worth a call, if the were even prepared to hear your argument, they will ask the same question as above0

Thanks for the replies, I shall look elsewhere0

Hi there
I expect you may already realise that you would be eligible if your son is under 16 or under 19 if still in further education that you would be eligible for a higher rate of child tax credits??
I imagine your son is aleady awarded DLA it would be that of low middle or high rate care etc, but if you have not done so yet call the child tax credits to make sure your having all what your entitled too, because this is a weekly payout.
But if your son was awarded high rate care you would get a higher severe premium on top of a normal premium if DLA involved.;)
They back date to a certain time too, maybe 6 months or more in exceptional circumstances.;)
Good luck!
Di.

Please don't go to one of those dodgy doorstep lenders. You will only regret it.
Could you not ask a family member for a short term loan?0 -
CAB advice can be found here:
