Hi,
Anyone know where I can get a SONY NW-HD5HS 30GB. Unfortunately SONY have stopped making them in favour of their newer IPOD looking MP3 players. The thing is that I think they are horrible (I also would never own an IPOD :eek: ).

comet is the cheapest for the 20 gig one, £174 incl post, and dont forget your rpoints too!, 2% cashback, other referral sites may be highermoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

Yes it does have to be the NW-HD5 30gb as I already have the NW-HD1 20gb (with MP3 mod) and it's great!!! But I am looking for more space. I would only buy a SONY so no Ipod, Zens etc....0

I knew this was going to happen. I don't want to get into a SONY, IPOD, ZEN, etc debate. But if you must know I happen to like the design and size of the Sony (also ATRAC plus offers great compression and sound quality is good enough for outdoor use) and would never consider the rip off follow the crowd Ipod. :mad:

Good on you for trying to be different. I made that same move back in April 2004 when iPods were taking off. I got my friend to bring back the original Toshiba Gigabeat from Japan. I've never seen anyone with that as it looks very different from the gigabeats of today. Anyway, the best place to buy the old style Sonys is on ebay. You can pick them up brand new on ebay fairly cheaply.0

The mod is to enable NW-HD1 to play MP3 natively and was offered by SONY for a limited period just after the NW-HD3 came out0
