advice sought

have split with husband,have joint mortage which we just renewed about 2 months ago,also extended it to cover his credit card debts,for next 25 years.as we've split and hes moved out where does that leave me and my son,one minute hubbys going to pay,then he says he wont,or if im nice to him he will pay,hes got me worried as i love our home and i dont want to lose it,i do work full time as well,hes adamant that i dont seek legal advice,but im going to see a solicitor on tues,any advice would be welcome,thanks

    See a solicitor to clear up what you can/can't do etc...

    Your husband is jointly liable for the joint mortgage regardless of where he lives so if he does not pay and you default, the bank will be after both of you - he can't wash his hands and walk away.

    One would hope he wishes his son to have a stable home....
