    Alternatively....Tesco have Smirnoff Blue label for £11.98 a bottle at the moment. That's even cheaper than the normal strength!

    FIL buys 1.5ltr bottles in Morrisons for £15.96 and says its as near to Smirnoff hes going to get without buying the real thing.

    Morrisons own brand "finest" (or whatever their top brand is) is really nice. I think it was £10.99 for 75cl last time I got it though.

    I always get stolly or absolut when it's on offer - or even when it isn't if I'm feeling like I'm worth it!

    its £9 and they have gin, morgans and whisky on offer at £9 also.

    going to stock up for xmas as i have £15 in vouchers.

    If you buy the own brand vodka and filter it through a coffee filter, it'll taste much better. Each successive filtering (use a new coffee filter each time) makes it better, and then decant it back in the bottle.

    Errr no.

    You've got your filters mixed up there....

    It's a water filter for a jug (eg a Brita filter) that you need. It's the charcoal in the filter that purifies your vodka.

    Filtering through a coffee filter will just taint your vodka with the taste of filter paper, if anything!!
