  • So the only visible sign of inflation is the Taoiseach's salary ;) ?

Surely they have to keep these figures to report to their EU masters?

Just to clarify, I meant property sale prices. I'm sure there are records somewhere but they aren't available to the public, journalists, etc.

The ESRI (economic and social research institute) publish a regular update on the housing market, but they operate off a random sample of valuations, as opposed to sale and volume figures.
  • there was a macabre joke about him at the time of the bombing.

something to do with dandruff, but I can't remember the punch-line.

I Know the joke and the punch line , but as an ex serviceman , I Think its in bad taste and don`t think it should be posted . He was some man

"How did the know lord Mountbatten had Dandruff ?

They found his Head & Shoulders on the beach. Boom. Boom" :o

Disgraceful . Should not be posted . It was the likes of men like Lord Mountbatten that made this country what it was once like . Sadly it is no more

You must be a very stupid man . It doesnt matter if it was 1 year ago or 29 years ago or more , it was an atrocity and it doesnt make it OK to make jokes about Our Servicemen being killed , no matter if it happened 29 years ago

So you will say its OK to tell jokes in 29 years time about our boys who got killed in Iraq and Afghanistan .

Lord Mountbatten was a muched loved officer of the Royal Marines and much more to many other people

By the way , on that same day 18 Soldiers were murdered by a booby trap bomb . Do you want to crack a joke about that ?

Its people like you , who have taken the " Great " Out of Great Britain

I know some of the most controversial jokes come from our servicemen themselves. They are renowned for having a rich sense of humour, perhaps something to do with confronting danger on a regular basis. Hence this old army joke at the height of the IRA menace...

3 soldiers were killed yesterday when their land rover hit a tree. The IRA said they planted it.

I served for 22 years and know the sometimes sick sense of humour , but that poster Napoleon is an uneducated Fool

You understand that the Great in Great Britain stands for the "greater area." Britain is the island itself. Great Britain is the main island and the smaller islands such as the Isle of Man and the Hebridies. It's a geographical term, not a reflection of the awesomeness of the collection of nations.
