I write this in response to the weekly newsletter link for the 20% off at Habitat
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/tipnote/discount-voucher-codes
but should be useful for future and additional offers fromother companies.
As with all discounts - it is not possible to buy Gift Vouchers with a discount - but as a common present, wouldn't it be savvy if you could get the discount on behalf of your friend/relative?
Simply print off the voucher and buy something in store to the value that you would be spending on a Gift Voucher.
Accidently 'lose' the receipt and return the 'unwanted gift' - as you have no proof of purchase - but are holding a branded Habitat item - you'll qualify for a refund in Gift Vouchers!
It worked for me and my friend will have a gift voucher of £100 as a wedding present, which only cost me £80 :T
Hope that helps!

Sorry, I think you're right - this is my first post, and seem to have made a mistake already!!
I only stumbled across this when I bought something for the house (which did not suit the house as planned) and returned it having lost the receipt - I was offered vouchers instead.
I'll try and get my post removed - I know that money saving and fraud are two different things!0 -
Would it be fraud though? I know you are intentionally doing it but you are following the procedure of the store so technically there isnt anything they can do unless the refuse an exchange/ gift voucher.
I work in retail, and when we get an item without a reciept you dunno how much they paid or what! They obviously loose money if the item has gone down but in some cases they might not have even bought that product from debenhams itself.0 -
Most places will only exchange items without a receipt to the value they are currently selling for. So if you buy something and the next day the item is reduced and you bring it back you will only get the reduced price back. And I've not heard of anywhere giving refunds without receipt, only exchanges, branded or not.0
