I finally got round to installing this. I

had hoped it would help with our midi-hifi that is constantly being left on standby.

Unfortunately as others have found it is not registering as being used and therefore with the genie installed the appliance will not stay on for longer than 2 minutes without needing the reset button pressed, not very practical.

Also as others have mentioned the shortness of the lead means that it would be impractical for many of my appliances as the power leads are inaccessible behind units so I would not easily be able to press the reset button.

Thank you for letting me try the genie, but it looks like it's not for me.
