Am I a first time buyer

I know this question sounds daft but, am I a first time buyer?

A few years ago when houses were much cheaper, I bought a small terrace outright with no mortgage. I am now looking the get a mortgage for a larger house.

I guess what i am really asking (in terms of getting a mortgage) is does the term first time buyer refer to a 'first time buyer' of a house or a mortgage?

    does it really matter ?
you could be a first time buyer as this is your first mortgage BUT alot of FTB deals were for people with little or no deposit.
If you have a good deposit you can get a better deal GOOD LUCK
