Credit score detoriated because of loan applications
Options
Hi, I have a loan with natwest and I topped it twice before. Due to high number of applications to top up my loan, my credit score detoriated. I can't top it up anymore.
I heard something about duplicate searches and that they can be removed from the credit file. I want to know what a duplicate search exactly is.
For example, If they put an amount of 20K to pay it over 3 years and get declined. Then they do another application of 20K to pay over it over 6 years.
Would this be considered a duplicate search. what's a duplicate search exactly?

Judging by your previous post http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1159101 I don't think that removing duplicate searches will be of any benefit to you, even if it can be done. And I don't think that the circumstances you describe above would constitute a duplicate search anyway.
I think you really need to address the reason that you need to borrow so much money in such a short period of time.

As beanie seems to be saying, your time is now. You really need to go to some sort of citizens advice centre or something, tell them everything and they'll help/advise you.0

Duplicate search is if you apply once and they search more than once for the one query.
In the example you gave it would''nt be a duplicate search.0
