Hi there,
I'm brand new to the forums but have been popping in and out for a while and was hoping for some help please.
Long story short my partner is into classic cars and we had this 'great idea' to buy a car, get it done up and sell it on to help pay off some other debts. As things have worked out the car hasn't sold yet and he owes the guy who did the car up £2500. He is now being put under huge pressure by this guy saying his bank are going to take the car and sell it and today that the bank are going to take him to court for the money.
We're not refusing to pay, in fact we've given them a proposal for repayment the best we can but as there are quite a number of other debts we are kinda limited on how quickly we can pay this back and have had to suggest this over the next 12 months.
Can anyone tell me the process before we get as far as a CCJ and if anyone has managed something like this before any tips on negotiating with the bank?
Thanks a million
Kate
