I had someone out to survey my house today for me to buy it, its a council house. Never had a mortgage before so not sure where to start so any advice you could give me would be great. Thanks

If you are buying your house at a discounted rate from the council, most lenders will be interested in that, as the loan to ( open market) value should be pretty good.
