40 pints of almost frozen milk. Suggestions please.

Got to work this morning to find that the fridge had glitched and decided to impersonate a freezer. Fortunately there was only milk in it. Unfortunately there are 40 pints of the stuff in glass bottles. The milk isn't completely frozen as its still sloshing around a teeny tiny bit but its too frozen to remove from the bottle. I don't want to risk chucking them in the freezer as some of the bottles have already shattered. In most cases the milk has expanded upwards by 2" pushing the lid off.

Other than defrosting it and batch cooking lots of custard / white sauce / ice cream does anyone have any suggestions.

Let it defrost to fridge temperature. It'll be perfectly safe to use as normal but it may have separated a bit - looks a bit odd in your tea! In that case, using it up in white sauce, custard and things like cream of onion soup seems like a good idea.
