Could you not try ringing GE direct, either that or speak to the CSSS as they may be able to speak to your creditors.

There is a procedure for bailiffs.

You get sent a load of court papers when the creditor applies for a County Court Judgement.

If you respond properly and attend, the monthly payments will probably be set at something similiar to the payment you are currently trying to make.

You do not pay, so the creditor goes back court and asks for an attachment or earnings or the right to send in the bailiffs.

if you can demonstate tot eh court that you are trying to pay nothing further happens.

So you are months away from bailiffs.

have you sent GE Money a CCA letter? And have you written to them with an offer of payment?
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Not a good idea to speak to a creditor. Put it in writing so you have proff of the offer to pay.

And if you are with CAb, then CCCS may be reluctant to tread on toes. NDl might put your mind at rest though.

The mantra for all creditors has to be "talk to CAb, talk to CAb".

They will get the message eventually.

  • You say you haven't been able to pay ge money anything? can you not even make the reduced payments to them and send them in regardless. This would go in your favour if things reached court.

  • sadly I don't think you will get anywhere with the collection agency and are just likely to be wasting your breath and also run the risk of being upset and intimidated by them.

as its going threw the cab , when they phone i dont speak to them , apart from saying its going threw the cab

and the advisor at the cab hasnt had a reply off them as yet and so there is no way of sending money to them as we have no payment book or anything . From the first meeting at the cab it was agreed we would offer £5 a month and they have not replyed afer all these months ,
we have only been able to pay barclaycard £5 a month as there statement comes with a payment slip on the bottom in which we pay the £5 on.
