I took out a small personal pension in 1994. I increased payments some time ago, and i am currently paying 82.05p monthly. As at January 06 i had 456 non protected rights for a value of 12,746.07p. January 07 units were 493 value was 14,810 72p. January 08 units are 526 and the value is 15,470.57p. Can someone give advice whether to keep paying the monthly premium[the eighty-two pounds would come in handy now),or cancel the payments. Hope its not to confusing, and thanks for any advice.

You dont say how old you are but a pot of £15,740 is quite low. About the level a 25 year old should be looking at. So, should your contribution be stopped and reduce your retirement provision more or should you keep paying (or even increase it)?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
