Derbyshire take over

I have a 10 year fixed rate with the Derbyshire, and today found out that the nationwide who are taking them over can if they want come in and change my rate as long as they give me notice. Has this ever ha99ened to anyone out there i would be gutted if this ha99ened to me my rate is 4.9%.
