This attitude sucks.
I experienced it first hand today.
I work for a property company and one of my tasks today was to go and collect some keys from an EA so I could go and do a recky on a property that incidentally they cant let.
I walked in jeans, and branded polo shirt ( uniform) Immiediately some 2 bit suited twerp, looked me up & down and siad "you must want lettings"
Oh how I wish Id been sharp enough to say " hell yeah as If Id buy in this market, youd have to be joking haha" Alas , I didnt.
I'm sorry i'm not digging at you and you won't give a hoot but its RECCE not recky......reconnaissance is my job;)If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
Estate agents always look down their noses at us. Maybe it's the rental thing, maybe it's the fact that I'm pathologically scruffy even when wearing a suit.
You'd think the fact that we were in rented accommodation and had a deposit in the bank and a good wodge of salary between us they would be falling over themselves, but no. Not that I care now that we have decided to wait for a bit, but it was a bit annoying that they couldn't be bothered to arrange viewings for us at the time.
Mind you, I also get followed by store detectives so maybe I just look like a criminal.0 -

Ah lynzpower, the remark we wished we had said, I have a few. A few years ago there was a series of 'Scarlet Pimpernel' with Richard E. Grant. He described this as 'carriage wit' because it is the witty response you think of in the carriage on the way home.
He sound like a little t**d to me and one who may well find himself signing on in the not too distant future!0 -
