How? I'm sure you're right, because you wouldn't otherwise say so, but I'm curious. Is this legal? Or is he taking backhanders?
I suppose the chances of this are low, but you aren't Nick "the voice" Mason formerly of Oxford University Conservative Association/Oxford Union are you?
If not, I think you need to look into how party fundraising works.Politics is not the art of the possible. It consists of choosing between the disastrous and the unpalatable. J. K. Galbraith0 -

Obviously not low enough. I had been thinking that it is clearly poor form around here to have a username that actually identifies you, but hadn't got round to rebranding myself. You now have an advantage over me; will you identify yourself?
I take it, that as I am indeed the aforementioned "voice" (although involvement with OUCA was minimal), I don't need to look into how party fundraising works?0 -

Incidentally this correct identification is a welcome change from a random email I received the other day to my hotmail account that simply said "Hi Nick, like your drums". I eventually assumed it to be a Pink Floyd thing....0 -

A self-imposed disadvantage I am afraid. You would probably recognise my face, but I doubt my name would mean much to you in any case.I take it, that as I am indeed the aforementioned "voice" (although involvement with OUCA was minimal), I don't need to look into how party fundraising works?
An out of date nickname, I know. I am sure "Shezza" would fill in any gaps that you do not know!

Try me. Typically I tend to remember names more than faces. Not very helpful, when you think about it.

Okay so now my curiosity is piqued. I'm guessing from your id of me that you were a "Barloon" or OUSU sort, but with reasonably sound views; that should narrow it down!!0 -
OUSU type. Amused observer of bar loons.
EDIT: You have met me on a couple of occasions (IIRC) but you don't know me. I would probably have not done the ID had it not been that we were discussing an ex-Oxford Union president, and then saw your name.Politics is not the art of the possible.
