didn't think you could do that but based on what you said i'm gonna grab a bargine now for next summer. Will anything need to be done next year before the pool can be used again such as special cleaning etc. and assume you have sone sort of cover onit over the winter.

The one we had has a slow release valve so it trickles out slowly so not completely flooding your garden, lol

As Far as I know if you don't have a water meter it doesent matter how much you use. How are they going to know if it is not metered. ;)

Picked up a 12' pool yesterday, for £12.50 at Netto with pump/Filter etc, in their clearout. :D

When my parents bought theirs (a huge one!) they were told that They would have to let the Water Authority know as they would pass on their details to them. I know it is probably utter rubbish but I thought I had better check!!

If someone spots it and reports it then yes it could end up being metered

I had a metal frame pool (still in the garage as kids r not interested anymore) they have a apecial valve that you can attach to the plughole and then a hosepipe of that which can easily go into a drain for ease of emptying- some of the pools have a recomended temp that they can be left out in- my lay-z-spa can't be used under 4 degress for example. I have always just emptied mine- scrubbed it with an anti-bactiral washing up liquid allowed it to dry andd folded it up for next year. I fill it up at the beginning of the season and keep it topped up with chlorine etc or buy the planet pool stuff at the end of the year when B&Q are clearing it out and save it for next year. advisable to get a solar cover & regular cover + pool mainteance kit these called all be collected very cheaply at this time of year, I also had a heater but to be honest wasn't worth a light as water never seemed very hot.
