I've always held Paddy in high regard. I know little of Vince Cable but friends I respect have a lot of time for him.

I think the dram coup senario would be Ashdown, Hauge, Boris and Cable. I think the 4 of them should be able to sort the mess were in out.

Oh and they can have Dangerous David Davis as Home secratry to look after our civil liberties

Well I have just got home from work (yes Brown I still have a job, no thanks to you though) and I have to say my list of buzz phrases earlier were a bit wide of the mark, I should have said these

    1. Global crisis
    2. Global problems
    3. These problems are global
    3. Global turmoil
    4. Global issues
    6. Global financial crisis
    7. Global economic downturn
    8. Global market conditions
    9. Global oil prices

etc, etc. Gordon I think we get the drift, none of the problems we are suffering are your fault, oh apart from the 10p tax issue which was mathematics at its most basic:rolleyes:.

I jsut could not agree more. :T

Its SO lame how the only time he ever shows his face is to take pseudo responsibility "We must do better" while being utterly unconvincing " I am the right man totake us through these troubles times ( after all Ive spent years orchestrating this whole f***ing shambles)" then naffs off never to be seen for over a week!! the big speeches  saved for the conference. But they are an amalgamation of the myriad phrases listed above. If I had a quid for every time I hear unique set of crircumstances I could probably bail out the whole damn system! Pushing darling forward with the same phrasesdoesnt wash ewither im afraid! M(e & Oh play bingo watching newsnight ( yes it is that fun in our house,:rotfl: I always win) )

78% of the population I heard on radio today think the economy is not safe in his hands.

I think Joe Public are sick of the lies. I wonder if ( and this is my wildest political dreams) that there could be a vote of no confidence. IMagine that.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind

  • Perhaps it's just that he's too busy to catch the news, and no one has mentioned it to him.

Maybe all the cabinet are having urgently whispered conversations along the lines of:

Well I thought you told him.

Well I was going to but someone said Carstairs was going to mention it.

Well I was going to, but I didn't like to upset him

    Etc. :D
