How long can a debt be outstanding
A strange question - We purchased something on intrest free credit back in 2002, and the compnay were due to start taking the money in 2003, which they never did.
I recently had a call from my EX-Bank ( as I am no longer with them ) to say the company had taken a direct debit for £80.00, being nearly 5 years later than they should have - I know I shold have closed the account, but I never got round to it. Does anybody know where I stand in this situation.
