Hi
Hoping for some advise please, I was dealing with Capquest for hubbys CC bill.
Went through channels for CCA request etc. They sent a photo copy, which did not state interest OR credit limit, and no terms and conditions. The figures quoted for my partners wage are way out. However the date is about right and has hubbys signiture on it. I ask Capquest for the missing information and said pro rata payment would be x pounds per month.
Next I get a letter from Scotcall saying unless paid within 7 days. Or very realistic monthly amount they are passing to doorstep collections agent. Now hubby tried to talk to them today but their pcs are down. They said yes they are allowed to send doorstep collections as long as they have told us first.
As far as I know they can only visit if a CCJ is in place and it is defaulted on??
Should I re send the CCA request to Scotcall now???
I'd be grateful for your advice.

Do not ring them , I does no good , letters only . Did you send the default letter after 12+30+ DAYS ? As the account is still indispute details of the account should not be passed to another company . Write to both and tell them you will report them to OFT .0

Thanks the 30 days ends this Thursday 25/9/08. Capquest did send a CCA BUT it was missing information that it should have stated.
Capquest passed it over on 18/9/08 after receiving my request for the missing information.BSC No: 186 There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Unless someone's nicked the candle !

Don't wish to scare you but Scotcall sent someone to me even though the debt was in dispute at the time. The doorstep collectors have no legal rights and you do not have to give them any money. Just tell them to s*d off or you'll call the police - or leave the guy standing on the step in the pouring rain like I did!
To be honest, I don't think Scotcall are a DCA - I think DCA's use them as Scotcall employ "field agents", so I don't think that Crapquest have passed it on, but I'm not 100% on this. I had an agent from Scotcall regarding my Barclaycard debt but the actually debt was still with BC.
Hope this makes sense.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
Mortgage free since 2014
