I go to the one in Castle Street, and I do not think £15.30 is cheap for a cut and blow dry at all. My hair is short and they will not do a wash and cut, even though it is dry by the time the finishing cutting it.

Peter Marks school closes for the term holidays as the students don't attend college.
That is the one in Gt Victoria Street as I called in and asked. They charge £16 for a cut and blow dry again not cheap.

The Hair Traffic training school in Rosemary street is good, I go there to get my hair cut regularly and have never been unhappy with the service.
Senior stylist/supervisor checks your hair length before it is dried and then after it is dried to make sure it is ok.

They also do a loyalty card and once you've been 10 times your next one is free, but you do have to remember to get it signed off each time.

I work in Belfast but live in Downpatrick. Until last year I would get my hair cut in Belfast in my lunch break and was paying nearly £40 for a cut and blow dry. My sister was getting the same service in Downpatrick for £15 and her hairdresser did a really great job so I changed over.

I am really happy with the service there too. Stylist is very experienced - she trains in the local college as well so only works Thursday Friday Saturday. Tigi products used.

Even if you had to travel from Belfast the difference in price would make it worth it. :T

Sorry for resurrecting this thread...does anyone know if the Tower street college still do haircuts for the public? I'm looking for somewhere cheap for a trim. Thanks!

Sorry old thread, and I know hairdressing, but is there anywhere (training schools) in Belfast City Centre or East Belfast that offers beauty on the cheap?
