I had this problem from about your age and mitchum never worked for me (still doesn't) the only thing I found effective and was great was driclor..
It stopped me sweating at all for quite a few days once you've used it for a while and it makes a huge difference to your confidence. However, it does sting a bit to put on and sometimes I find it itchy if I don't get to sleep straight away BUT this is totally worth it for me to stop the problem.
I went to my GP who didn't help but I would recommend you doing this also as yours may be more helpful. Thankfully as i've got older it seems to be going away.I hope you get it sorted.

p.s - I haven't used driclor for quite a while now but do if I know i'm going somewhere different.
As odd as it sounds I only ever had the problem at college/later work - never at home so i'm sure it was something to do with stress.0 -
have you tried the crystal ones? found in health food stores etc, and they work brilliantly, IMOHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Exactly the same for me - its worth the slight discomfort for three days of complete dryness. Mitchum didnt work for me either.0 -
None of the others would work for me I suffered Really Bad for many years I didnt feel normal, couldnt wear nice tops or shirts, only black or dark coloured jumpers, cardies and jackets even in summer it was awful for me
Then I used PerspireX :T and it was the best thing I ever did (£7 tesco or boots)
Wash, make sure you dry properly and apply before you go to bed.
I used it for about a week and was cured !!!! then only when needed after that. I now only use it every 6 months to a year.
I reccommend :T

Definately see your doctor as there may be medical reasons to the sweating.
If you have honestly tried everything thats out there and there is no underlying medical problem then botox will help. Although you can get an op on the NHS to removed the sweat glands under the armpits0 -
I used to have the same problem. Until I found sanex roll ons. they are very good. (also Radox roll ons are exactly the same - but usually cheaper - made by the same company and the packaging is similar).
I found that spray deos and anti perspirants didn't work for me.Looking forward to the future.0
