  • Hiya, I would also recommend perspirex, it's quite expensive like the op said, but I was exactly the same as you and it works for me. Like others have said about driclor it can sting when you apply it at night so try not to apply it if you 've shaved you're armpits that morning! HTH

I can recommend Odaban, you apply it daily for about a week then just as often as you need it. It works by stopping the sweating (or something like that), my OH is an amputee and had awful problems with his leg stump sweating (5 terry towelling socks & a foam liner in the summer is not cool) and he would get nasty blisters and sores with the rubbing. He was told to try Odaban and it's excellent stuff, it costs about £6 but lasts for ages, we've had this bottle for about a year now.

also diet wise - are you drinking min 2litres water a day and avoid too much teas/caffiene/alcohol and spicy foods....these can contribute. have you checked with doctor re: thyroid glands -

I had similar problem associated with over active thyroid. I also find it helps heaps to have underarms waxed as opposed to shaving which only made the problem worse. I also use Mitchum. Hope all these replies have helped you :) !

Driclor did the trick for me, fairly nasty itchy stuff but it works. Talk to a pharmacist.

I found the problem went away as I got older so don't dispair.
