i work on the railway, and i am in their final salary pension scheme "lucky me" although since Browns raid my contributions have now doubled in 3 years.

What i need help on is 2 other schemes, i was in chrisitan salvesen scheme for 5 years and i contracted out of serps many years ago when the governemnt offered incentive to do so, but have now contracted back in.

The salvesen transfer value is £5500, the contracted out value is £10500.

Do i leave them where they are or join them up and put them in another scheme.

You ceased to be contracted out with that scheme the minute you joined the railways pension. The railways pension is contracted out, although not in the same sense that the personal pension was.

Which options gives you the most benefits? There is no way to tell without an analysis of figures and benefits.

i am paying nothing into selvesen and the other one is with a company called pheonix, i pay £25 a week into the railway one, just wonderd if it would be beneficial to move them elseware
