Dennis the Menace Jumper pattern?

My Mum is planning on knitting my son a Dennise the Menace jumper for Christmas (he's Beano Mad). We've brought some wool in red and lack but were wondering whther anyone had a pattern. He's 8 so we're thinking 28/30". Failing that, if anyone has made one, could you give us an idea how many rows per stripe.

haven't got a pattern but I would probably do stripes of 12 rows, no more than 16, if I was working in double knit. Could your mum knit a small swatch to decide on the rows. I would do equal rows of red and black as I think the stripes are of equal thickness on Dennis

Hi. Had a google for you but can't find a free one online. There is one going on ebay if you're stuck. I just put it Dennis the Menace jumper pattern. At the moment it's 99p and finishes in a day and a half. Not very MSE I know if you have to buy, but, as a last resort it's there. And you can always sell it yourself after and get your money back
