I spent 54p on paracetemal today (can never spell that, doh!!).
How come you can't spell it when you presumably have a box with it written on right in front of you? :rotfl:

I'll blame it on your headache :D

    Yep, that'll do :D

I spent 60p on the Times and 50p on a can of Diet Coke. But managed to pop out for lunch and into a sweet shop (on errand to buy choccy bar for colleague) without buying anything for myself :T

Tonight I'm reviewing an opera so I've got two free tickets (worth about £60 each) for self and housemate, and a free programme (worth £4). Can't complain! However, I'll be meeting an old mate afterwards and will prob spend a fiver on drinks.

Don't know where you work ms_london but in Boots (certainly the one at London Bridge station) you can buy paracetemol for 39p. I discovered this after walking out of the independent chemist round the corner after they tried to charge me 99p for paracetemol and over £2 for a packet of sanitary towels which Boots had for 99p!

I bought some of that First Defence stuff as I have been in a room full of people with bad colds all morning and I've only just got over 2 real stinkers of a cold and dont want another one. If I get any symptoms over the weekend I'll use it, otherwise I'll save it for when I do. Anyway, that was £6.99. Also bought 3 stamps for competitions coming to 90p, 5lb of potatos for 80p off the market and a newspaper because it had a competition in it for 35p.

I spent £25 on gift vouchers for a friend's wedding....partly to salve my conscience because I cried off the hen do (geography issues - and no, it wasn't even in Australia!)

    I also bought her a card £2.80

And a newspaper 40p (that was for myself!)

All homemade (or at least, home assembled food today - muffins with cheese for lunch + homemade Thai curry for dinner.)
