Fancy Dress?

Options
Hi

We are going to a fancy dress party for Halloween - however I dont really want to dress up as witch etc.

I am thinking of batgirl/wonderwoman etc type costumes. My question is does anyone have any suggestions as how to get one cheaply? I have had a quick peek on net /ebay etc but they all approx £35 and cant afford to spend that much. And I wouldnt have a clue how to start making one!!

Any ideas would be appreciated! Im not sure if there are any shops in Belfast/surrounding areas that would have costumes?

Thanks in advance!!

  • In Carrickfergus, theres a shop called, Pebbles, was in on saturday and they have quite a large stock of costumes, all kinds of designs. Must be one of the best apart from Elliots in Belfast i've seem. Prices seemed to go up to Thirty odd pounds;)

Elliotts must be doing something right, the queues at their shop in Ann Street coming up to Halloween are very long.

  • Elliotts is good, another one is in Lisburn near Lisburn Square opposite the buses. Very helpful too!
Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"
