£5 off every £100

I found a posting about this in another forum. It seems it was also mentioned here some time ago.

http://www.farepak.co.uk/xexec/directgoods.asp

You buy £100 of vouchers for £95. You can choose vouchers for a range of top name shops. If you shop at Sainsurys for example it seems you'd be able to get effectively a 5% discount on your shopping. The vouchers are posted to you free of charge.

The thing that bothers me is that it seems to be like them sending you cash through the post. What happens if the vouchers don't arrive? You could lose several hundred pounds!

Has anyone used this service, and can you recommend it? Do they provide any cover for vouchers getting lost in the post?

I have used it before very recently - the vouchers are sent recorded delivery/registered post - you have to sign for them. They arrived very quickly too :D

I ordered £300 worth of vouchers and they arrived no probs :D
  • I have used this company for several years and can recommend them. This year my order was over £8000 (organise for friends and family) and I have had no problems receiving my order. One slight hiccup this year was down to Royal Mail. Vouchers are sent by Special Delivery and the postman allowed a neighbour to sign for them. Fortunately for me they are honest people.

I have also made mistakes and sent vouchers back to be swapped, and again no problems.
  • I bought GBP1,400 worth of John Lewis vouchers and then used it to buy an LCD telly. Effectively 5% off - I know their prices are higher than Dixons, but 5 years of free warranty itself costs 400 pounds. (also used quidco link - not sure if I can get the cashback though but worth a try)

I've used them a lot, I usually buy enough for my monthly fuel spend at sainsburys. Never had any problems.
  • The link has died. Does anybody know how to register or is it game over with this one.
