It might be my (cruddy!) oven but my two apple cakes from the recipe above have burnt slightly on top, next time I'm going to cover with greaseproof paper to protect the top a bit .Piglet

I've just made a load of apple jam. To perk it up a bit I put some mixed spice and a bit of cinnamon in. Also chucked a handful of raisins in. It tastes lovely, a bit like mincemeat.
Although, thinking about it, I hope the raisins don't make it ferment.0 -
