Not sure I can face being seen with The Sun in order to save 10p (milk, value spagetti in a tin isnt going to be much more then 30p, agree with you Kim_ley) great post- its a shame sainsburys are not really trying to save us as much money here as tescos for example- when they did the offer of £5 off a £30 shop. Who doesn't spend upwards of £30 a week on food? This one seems more like a marketing ploy.

Staples are Milk, eggs, bread, butter, fruit (apples, oranges), meat, veg (whatevers in season), cheese, coffee/tea. I don't see how tinned spagetti is really a staple! Seems like Sainsburys doing as little as possible to get customers through the door....

    Sorry- rant over!

  • The Currant Bun actually describes them as Free Recipe Ingredients.
  • I think the items on offer are connected with the ingredients needed for the Jamie Oliver recipes which The Sun had coiupons for last week
  • Is it just me or does anyone else think that tinned spaghetti would make a VERY poor choice for staples?

basics spagghetti isnt tinned... and the shopkeepers are useless at seeing it... Its just dried spaghetti thats darker than normal.

And if its "basics" range stuff.. the coupons might not be worth getting. Unless its like the milk and the vouchers are just free in store.
