Laptop at Comet - anygood ?

After buying a Laptop for XMas, seen this one at Comet -

Intel Celeron M 370 1.5 GHz
15" screen
40 GB Harddrive
256 Mb RAM
DVD/CD recorder

Seems a good deal - does anyone have an opion on it ?
Or seen a better laptop upto £500.

    Doesn't have built in wireless, 3G card could be expensive to use,

    processor not that fast, but it is only £399.

    No media card reader, useful if you have a digital camera.

    Doesn't mention no of USB ports.

    Hmmm...no wireless but a 'free 3G card'. Presumably that's conditional on signing up to a contract with Vodaphone or someone.

    I still think the £399 Thinkpad at Staples (fully wireless enabled) is a good deal. I got one for my son (25) and he's well pleased with it.

    The other thread says there are still some about.

    Not much of a bargain but its Ok, i think thats about the going rate of a PC with that spec
