My 2 year fixed rate ends feb '09. I've just been to yorkshire building society to pay £485 (£195 fee & £290 surey) to secure their 10 year fixed rate of 5.89% (10% LTV). The girl behind the counter said their rates would be going up by 0.4% approximately, sometime over the next couple of days so if anyone has been tempted by the deal-pull your finger out and give them a call. If you apply over the phone you've got 5 working days to get the cash in to secure it.
