Outl4w Biograhy Although aged only 12 - 16, Outl4w have caused many music industry types to take notice of their punk-pop anthems, featuring an inventive mix of original material and cover versions. In a post-Busted world, these young skateboarders know their Nirvana from their NOFX but aren't afraid to use catchy melodies too, resulting in a range of guitar-pop gems. In June 2005 Outl4w won an XFM Radio competition to write a summer anthem with their song 'Summer of Rock n Roll', which led to a single being released in August by Universal Records. The release saw the boys featured on 'Top of the Pops', Celebrity Extra, CBBC Newsround, Blue Peter (2nd visit) and a piece by APTN News which went out to 300 worldwide TV stations, with an estimated audience of 1 Billion. Outl4w also played live in the Virgin Megastore & HMV record stores in Londons Oxford Street. During January Outl4w appeared on Blue Peter, BBC TV's flagship children's programme. The show was broadcast live and the boys played 'Black Flowers' live in the studio. In November last year, from over 300 bands, Outl4w were voted 2nd in the final of the XFM Radio's 'Rockschool Challenge' at London's Marquee Club. Judges were NME editor Connor McNicholas, XFM's Lauren Laverne, Time Out's Chris Salmon and legendary producer Arthur Baker. Outl4w have also attracted the attention of Sony Playstation who used one of the boys original songs as part of a online promotion. Outl4w are a four-piece, three of whom are brothers.
