Question about DVD Camcorders

I want to buy a DVD camcorder, namely this one: Sony DVD7 Camcorder and I would like to know do you use it with a regular DVD-R or DVD-RW like you would buy cheaply in a shop or do you have to use a smaller sized DVD and transfer it to a regular sized one (meaning you would also need a DVD writer) ? I've looked everywhere for the info but can't find it.
Also if that is the case are there any DVD camcorders which will record straight onto a regular DVD-R?
