Officially Bankrupt..but no OR phonecall as yet?

Hi..

I officially went bankrupt at 1104am yesterday and was told that the OR would call be during the day. I heard nothing so am a bit in the dark about what I should do now? Do I give the office a call on Monday just to be on the safe side?

Don't worry, he'll be in touch - they're very busy at the moment

We went BR on the Monday but didn't hear from the OR's office until the Thursday even though, like you, we were told he would call that day

i didnt get a call at all, got a telephone appointment through the post with the pack and return envelope.

I just want to add for anyone else who is going through the same thing at the moment and worried about going to Court..you have nothing to worry about. The court staff are very friendly all the way through and even the Judge had a sense of humour! :j

It seems to be a Friday thing - I went BR on the 12th Sept and was told to expect a call in the afternoon but it actually happened on the Monday morning instead.

Was it poets day on the 15th? how awful I should have known that as I write poetry. I digress, shame on me.

My court have told me all people going BR (only 2 per day at 9am) get a call after the judge bit from the OR while still in the court, you go to a private room for this, and then you get an appointment for a face to face!!!

I am sure you will hear from the OR either by phone or post.

You say in here that the OR may phone at another time, what if you are not in, ie you are in work? Sorry that threw me a bit, I thought they made an appointment to call you at a certain time? if they then do not call and call back surely they cannot expect you to just be IN.

My first call was from the clerk at the OR office just to check my name and address details then to tell me who the Examiner would be. OH was at work but was able to disappear from his desk for the 2 minutes that the call took. The second call I got was another quickie to arrange the telephone interview but this is sometimes done by letter.

Thanks on a mission. Well if they call and no one is here, so be it. I do not want to give my work number, I cannot take private calls in work.

If they write with a time, fine will have to book time off work for it.

On the acronym gone awol thanks! blushes now with embarrassment but that one I did NOT know.

They called OH on his mobile so had he not been able to take the call, they could simply have left a message so that he could return their call as soon as convenient for him.
