I have a little brother who will be 9 on christmas eve, any ideas for a present?
I find it a little unfair to put a christmas and birthday present so it really has to be separate but I have very little money with having 2 children of my own, a maximum spend of £5 for the birthday present.

You can normally get a wind up torch for £5 or less - my son liked that at his age and still.
play.com sell dvds and CD for £5 or less. A lot of the supermarkets sell DVDs or multi packs for £5 or less
If you have a home and bargains or a pound shop go in and look for some ideas. Believe it or not at his age my DS asked for a skipping rope as he had heard boxers have it as part of their training. If he likes stationary, most supermarkets have it half price or less currently if you are quick or half price or less lunchboxes.
You can get lovely t-shirts for his age at primark for £1.50. They say things like unidentified family member and show 3 stick people and an alien, or I'm not lazy I'm on a break etc. If you look there are loads of bargains to be had. Good luck!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
